    Recoil is not that bad my gun does not have a straight pull stock. For off the bench I use slip on recoil pad. For hunting well I always have two or more layers of hoodies or jackets besides it just one shot. This what my gun looks like.

    These are are some 475 gr lead spire points @1450 fps that is the slowest I can get them with the data I have from the Lyman 49 reloading book. Very fun to shoot.

    The picture does not show but the pedals tore off the one side. Then again how many animals are made of wood and sand. I just use that media so I could capture the bullet. I was getting tired for lining up 15 water jug to get one bullet that's a lot of milk to drink.

    I shot these out of my 45-70 1885 Miruko Winchester high wall. They were traveling @ 2359 fps 4-1 gallon water jugs 5-2X6s so 10" of wood and a 1 gallon water jug filed with sand @20 yards load 57grs IMR 3031 I still can take this load up 4grs
