45-70 Reloads

Aside from that, nothing to add to what JD has so succinctly stated.
 
Shooting .451" diameter bullets in a 45-70 (.458") would be like shooting 270 bullets (.277") in your 7mm mag (.284").
Bullets would loosely fly down the bore and would not be stable. Jacket material "may" shear off in the rifling.
 
.452" bullets are typically used for 45 Colt, 454 Casull, etc. Also used in the 450 Bushmaster.
