I would not worry about the 338 with ANY premium bullet. I used my 338 RUM with 210 TTSX and got a complete passtru on a Kudu @ 149yds - from brisket to ham. The 225 AccuBond was my original choice but didn't shoot nearly as well as the TTSX. Also got a Wildebeest at 387yds. 2 passthrough shots. 1 in the lungs and 1 thru the shoulders. The Hartebeest was 278yds and passed thru both shoulders.
The 270WSM with 150 partitions also performed very well dropping a bushbuck, impala, and zebra in their tracks.
